I consider myself fortunate to have grown up participating in ‘Kyol Che’ meditation retreats. Coming from a conservative and religious family with strict discipline, I had always had a desire to be free. I consider myself fortunate to have grown up participating in ‘Kyol Che’ meditation retreats. The literal meaning of the word is ‘Tight Dharma’, and days filled with only silence and your intrusive thoughts meant that one hot summer, I snuck a book into the retreat, The Unbearable Lightness of Being.

Through Sabina, I was able to learn more about myself. She seemed so free, so light.

Since then I had been assuming two separate, dissociated, warring identities, the coy Tereza who would move states for love, and the free-spirited Sabina who lives as the heroine of her own story, unbeholden to love or her lovers.

Today, I have just one desire, to live neither freely nor heavily, an equipoise of lightness and weight.

Without betraying too many secrets, I was born in Asia and educated in Europe, and took advantage of my Erasmus year. As a result, I have an awareness and softness that tends to put people at ease. I think it is essential for us to feel safe and secure in each other’s presence, as this will create the space for pure, uninhibited pleasure.

I continued to study in 2022 in the smaller German-settled towns in Australia, and am currently completing a Bachelors with Honours. Creed, caste and stage of life aside, I value good company.* A little help with good wine and food never hurts, though I’d never turn my nose up to a mulled wine and kaiserschmarrn apres-ski.

*As Friedrich Nietzsche said, “those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” It may be a silent disco in my company, but as long as we are having fun, who’s to judge?
